On Saturday, October 21st, 2023, Garciaparra Sports Foundation (GSF) will host its 1st annual charity poker tournament and auction from 5:30-10pm at the Los Angeles Dodgers Training Academy. This is projected to be one of the most successful and largest fundraising events of the year for our organization. This year's event, Take Me Out to the Ballgame, will be the culmination of over a decade long vision of the founder of Garciaparra Sports Foundation, Michael Garciaparra. Our goals are to help each and every player in our program, no matter their social or economic background, to be able to afford the same opportunities to participate in baseball programs and be able to afford events that promote development such as; travel tournaments, college baseball/softball showcases, college recruiting process help, assistance with uniforms and or baseball/softball gloves and gear, travel costs (including hotels), afford group or one-on-one coaching, and other unexpected costs that come with the pursuit of their journey of becoming a collegiate athlete.

We are asking for you to attend the event or consider donating to Garciaparra Sports Foundation’s fundraising auction this year. Your tax-deductible support will directly benefit the lives of current and future athletes and the individualized coaching and environment that is so critical to their social, emotional, and physical well-being, while also showcasing your business and/or services to our entire baseball community. We hope to include the following items in our auction: travel, vacation homes, hotel stays, VIP experiences, behind-the- scenes experiences, health and beauty items, jewelry, authenticated sports memorabilia, and other one-of-a-kind merchandise. This will be a fun night with current and former MLB Baseball players in attendance.
